COVID19 Vaccination App for Karnataka Citizens

Problem Statement:
The Government of Karnataka needed a solution to alleviate the overwhelming demand on the national COVIN app and ensure equitable access to COVID-19 vaccinations. The existing system was unable to meet the needs of a large population and was skewed in favor of certain demographics, neglecting senior citizens with chronic conditions and frontline workers. An alternative app was required to facilitate booking vaccination slots efficiently for the citizens of Karnataka.

Solution:
Codewave stepped in to design and develop a mobile application tailored for the citizens of Karnataka. The app was aimed at diverting the load from the national COVIN app and ensuring that the most vulnerable populations, such as senior citizens and frontline workers, could easily book vaccination slots. The application featured a user-friendly interface and robust backend systems to handle high traffic and ensure seamless booking experiences. By piloting the app in the city of Mysore, Codewave ensured that the system was optimized for real-world conditions and ready for broader deployment. The initiative not only improved vaccination accessibility but also contributed to better health outcomes for the community.
